Our guest speaker for this Wednesday night meeting will be Tom Gallagher, N4GRF, and the topic is "The Poppy Surveillance Satellite Program: Contributions of the Amateur Radio Community".
This should be a very interesting topic that many members will not be familiar with and I think will find fascinating. Spy Satellites and Ham Radio do not often go together.
Also this is the meeting where we elect New Officers (Finally!) Nominations can be made from the floor if someone wants a different choice and they are willing. We also have some important club business to present for membership approval. So this is a "Must See" meeting. Plus we always have time for some eyeball QSOs and refreshments.
The meeting starts at 7PM and the presentation at 8PM. We will have a 50/50 drawing, door prizes, and tickets for the next Radio Raffle for another new radio to be given away at the January meeting.
Remember our "Lasting Moments of First Excitement" fund raising project is going on now. We know Amateur Radio has had a significant impact on the technological developments of the 20th century. And we want to excite and inspire young minds with Amateur Radio to continue that tradition in the 21st century. The youth of today are not just the future of Amateur Radio but the future of scientific discovery.
We invite you to visit our Indiegogo project at http://www.indiegogo.com/lasting-moments and join with us in creating "Lasting Moments of First Excitement".
